Vinita Nair

In July of 2004 she was hired by the station as a reporter and reported on a wide range of topics, including an investigation into the killing of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was employed at the request of ABC News in December 2007 as a anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now. In her new role she hosted live coverage as well as news briefs on ABC's digital channel. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now, America This Morning, and ABC's digital network from September 17th, from 2008 until February 18, 2011. On both shows she first teamed up together with Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. On Thursday, February 17 the 17th of February, 2011 Nair announced that Friday, the 18th of February, would be her final broadcast night on World News Now. Nair also announced that Friday would be one final day of work for ABC News. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor on KDVR Denver, was her the direct successor. World News Now, February 18th included three tributes to Nair. Both former and current colleagues appeared in the segments. The day she left she treated all the team for breakfast.
