Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She currently competes with the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sports journey as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina continued her career by getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011, along with the title of 2015 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia, who began her professional journey at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and 2016 the International Lion Fight Lightweight championships. In 2016, the WMC World Championships were staged in 2016, and she was crowned the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut took place in 2002, during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round by TKO and also won her subsequent two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating a record of three-three. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on her kickboxing and returned to the ring with Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa in a unanimous decision and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She left in 2018 the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her superior striking abilities during the clinch final round with knees placed on her body. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended after this win. Antonina was offered a UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi by a unanimous decision. She then fell in her second fight due to the split decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski, and also defeated Ariane. Then, Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
